Truu Lite Knee Pads
User guide
- Place the knee pads on your knee in the most relevant position to your individual knee shape.
- Make sure the bottom strap fasteners are on the outside of your knee’s. (This stops any catching of the knee pads when walking).
- Fasten the bottom strap first so it stays in place.
- Then fasten the top strap. (Have the bottom strap tighter than the top strap).
- When fastening the straps make sure you don’t have them too tight. If they are too tight you can reduce circulation. The top strap is also more likely to fold and move if too tight.
- On the first couple of uses you may find this process is needed to be performed a couple of times.
- Once the pads have been worn for multiple uses the pad shape and straps will adjust to your individual size and shape, for the most effective comfort. We suggest that at this time, it is best to then complete the re-sizing of both the outside and inside fasteners of the strap.
When cutting the excess strap on first use, please remember the knee pad is neoprene so allow the neoprene to adjust to the tension and size of your knee, you may have to cut the straps more than once to get the perfect sizing.
Please do not cut the internal knee pad fastener straight away. The straps will stretch over the first week of use. So allow it to stretch first then adjust the internal straps fastener to your individual size for the most effective comfort.
Maintenance guide
- The knee pads are made from neoprene and EVA, so they are 100% washable. The internal safety shell models can also be washed on low heat So you can throw them in the washing machine and then hang dry them. You can also hand wash them, or use spray odour neutralisers. Make sure to use cold water when washing! Do not tumble dry as they may shrink.
- After each use, we recommend wiping down the knee pad face. (This helps increase the longevity of the protective coating)
- Wash at least once a week to keep the shape and reduce the odour of the knee pads.
